To advocate and publicize physical exerxises among the academic, including the students, the following activities take place at the physical education center of the university:

*Various sports classes

*Sports events among various schools

*Physical education couseling

The Iran University of Science and Technology stadium is the largest in the north eastern part of the Capital, with a capacity of 20 thousan spectators. It consists of a lawn and jogging fields. Other facilities include gymnasiums for weight-lifting, table-tennis, shooting, martial arts and two tennis courts. There are also many students's teams active including football, basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, judo, karate, table-tennis, chess, badminton, wrestling, kung-fu weight lifting, fencing, mountain climbing, shooting, tennis, body building, and running for male, and basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, karate, table-tennis, chess, badminton, mountain climbing, shooting, tennis, swimming, physical preparation, and running for female students. There is also a football team for students with disabilities.
